Cappings Reducer 4ft

The idea of using a cappings reducer is to place it underneath your auto uncapping machine to catch the cappings.
The machine is operated on steam to create a hot plate on the top to melt the cappings and help process them.
You’ll then pour the hot wax into a wax mould. Once the wax sets, there should be minimal honey on the bottom.

Warning

This unit is not manufactured to be used with hot water.

It is for steam only!!!

WARNING: Steam outlet 1 inch BSP which is located under rear of the reducer MUST NOT have any out-flow restrictions.

IE: Must not run up walls or uphill. It must be on a downhill run from the reducer to a drain.

The line must not be able to fill up with condensation as the pressure will cause the tank to bulge and buckle the tank.

Operating Instructions

Connect all your steam hoses from your boiler

The reducer will need to be full of honey and wax to start working properly.

Once the wax compartment at the end of the reducer is full you will be able to see level of the wax and honey tubes by turning them up and down so wax will go one way and the honey will go the other. Once you have these set you will not need to adjust them again until you are ready to empty the tank.

At the end of extracting you can drain the last of the honey out by tilting the honey tube down until you see wax and rubbish come through. Then you can drain the whole unit from the 2" outlet under the tank.
