Lid surrounds are parts used to make up a lid for your beehive.
Two holes are placed on the short sides to help with ventilation.
Keeping the heat in and the cold out during winter. Combine this with a tin lid, weathertex board and lid vents and this will provide you with a well insulated lid.
Square lid surrounds together and pre-drill with 1/8th drill bit to prevent splitting the wood.
Then screw lid surrounds together. Once assembled attach lid surrounds to weathertex lid cover.
Paint inside and out with 2 coats.
nail Gal lid cover to lid.
Attach lid vents to the inside of the lid.
Your lid is now complete.
